Delete Your Account and Data

How to delete your Mochi Talk account (operator: Kenya Yasumura) and the data associated with it.

Delete in the app (recommended)

Open Mochi Talk
Tap Settings → Account → Delete account
Confirm on the confirmation screen

Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

What is deleted

Your anonymous account (user ID) on our servers
Information tied to the account, such as subscription status
On-device data: settings, scenes, personalities, conversation history, and your API key

What is not deleted

Your subscription: App Store / Google Play subscriptions are managed separately from the app. To stop being charged, cancel it under "Subscriptions" in your store account.
Conversation data sent to your AI provider (Google / OpenAI / xAI): data sent with your own API key is governed by that provider's account and policies. We never hold it and cannot delete it.
Crash and usage records (Sentry / PostHog): records that contain no conversation content. After account deletion we no longer link them to your user ID. If you want these records removed as well, contact us at the address below.

If you already uninstalled the app

Uninstalling alone leaves the anonymous account on our servers, but anonymous accounts that stay inactive for a long time are deleted automatically on a schedule. To have it removed sooner, email support@mochitalk.app with your device type and roughly when you used the app; we will verify and delete it.
